Today is appreciation day few days after our Peace Building inauguration. I was sworn in 4 days ago with my colleagues as New York Peace Building Commissioners. Our work as Commissioners of Peace building started with the 43 Police Precinct in the Bronx Press Conference to say thank you to our NYPD police officers for their great work and their ability to respond fast to crime, domestic violence etc. All Peace Building Commissioners walked from our starting point with Police escorts all the way to the 2 fire fighters department in that area to appreciate them with flowers for all their hard work responding fast to any fire situation. After we finished with the fire fighters department, we walked to the 43rd Police Precinct to honor & appreciate them with flowers and to say thank you for protecting us. We all know that their job is not easy so we must appreciate our police officers & fire fighters first. Public Safety is everything & building peace together. We’re already putting letters together to request for $1million dollars from the Governor and about $500,000 from the Mayor for operation. They’re expecting the letter.
