New York – Rashad Alkhader –

On the occasion of Israel’s 78th Independence Day, the Permanent Representative to the United Nations,
Danny Danon, stated:

And friends. Welcome tonight, we gather here at the United Nations to celebrate 78 Independence Day of the State of Israel. I want to thank

every court. Goldstein and the UGA Federation of New York for partnering with us 78 years.

Think about that.

Despite everything, 78 years, think about every war, every threat and every attempt to weaken us. Israel stands strong before I begin. I want to recognize I have many, many friends here, but I want to recognize two guests that will be with us tonight, idana, maybe many of you know Idan from the stage and from Fowler. I think in two weeks we’ll see fowda Five already on Netflix.

But what some of you may not know is that Idan is also a brave hero who fought in Ghana, where he was seriously wounded.

After months of recovery, he returned both to the stage and to uniform and another special guest,
Modi worgen

FYE, one of the world’s best known Jewish comedians who helped us laugh during very difficult times together. The both of them, they represent the spirit of Israel. Please be done. Join us.

Together. They represent this resilience, hope.

The past few years tested Israel like never before. On October 7, Hamas carried out the deadliest massacre of Jews since the Holocaust. Our enemies thought they could break us, they failed. Israel stood strong. Israel fought back, and Israel acted. Hamas has suffered devastating blows.

Hezbollah has been pushed back from our border, and Iran’s terror network has been weakened. We have shown the world one thing is for sure, the Jewish people will never again be defenseless. Those days are over.

Tonight, I want to thank the brave soldiers of the IDF, my son or my daughter, our children, young Israelis who left everything behind their homes, their families, studies to defend our people. Some made the ultimate sacrifice. Thanks to them, Israel is stronger today, and the world is fatal too.

Despite everything we have endured, Israel has not lost sight of what we are fighting for.

78 years ago, Israel’s Declaration of Independence extended, and I quote, a hand to all neighboring states and their peoples in offer of peace.

That vision still guides us today. The Abraham accords proved that a different Middle East is possible, a Middle East built not on extremism and terror, but on innovation and peace, because Israel’s story has never been has only been about survival. It’s about building a better future, a future of peace partnership and hope.

2000 years ago, the Jewish people dreamed of being free in our own land. Today. Today, that we need a strong reality.

So together, let the flesh are very, very Happy Independence Day to our beautiful country. Congratulations.
