Law enforcement authorities in Germany suspect that Leviev is involved in crypto fraud and money laundering in millions of Euros. If he manages to leave the country despite the restraining order against him and arrives in one of the European countries, he is expected to be arrested. “In the event that an extradition request from law enforcement authorities in Germany reaches the Ministry of Justice and the Israel Police, he will be in very big trouble,” explains a legal source in a conversation with MAKO

In recent weeks, law enforcement authorities in Germany have issued an arrest warrant against the Tinder fraudster Simon Leviev (or under his former name, Shimon Yehuda Hayut) on suspicion of money laundering and fraud in the crypto field. Mako learned that if Leviev, against whom there is a restraining order not allowing him to leave the country due to financial debts he has fallen into, will manage to fly to one of the countries in the European Union – he will be arrested immediately.
According to the extradition request of the German authorities, Leviev uses several names to allegedly carry out the fraud. For example, he uses the names Mordechai Nissim Tapiro, Maor ben Harush, Avishai Mor, Shimon Yehuda Hayut, Michael Biton, and Mor Harush ben Hayut. According to the

extradition request, Leviev sets up companies under the names of different people and commits computer and crypto fraud without them knowing that he was the one who committed the acts. The suspicions attribute to him fraud offenses, tax offenses, money laundering in millions of Euros. In the same request, there is detailed information regarding the suspected fraud that was carried out using computers, with Leviev using several phones and different email addresses to cover his tracks.
As of today, the arrest warrant is not international, but it is possible that in the future the authorities in Germany will request to issue such a warrant. Leviev, who boasted in the past that he can fly wherever he wishes, will probably not choose to leave Israeli borders any time soon, even if the order to delay his departure is lifted. “It is better for him to stay in Israel,” explains a legal official who previously represented Leviev. “If the extradition request from law enforcement authorities in Germany reaches the Ministry of Justice and the Israel Police, he will be in very big trouble. The authorities in Israel will be forced to extradite him”.
It now turns out that the authorities in Germany and other European countries confused in recent weeks between Leviev’s photos and those of Avishai Mor, his former partner, and as soon as Mor landed at the airports of those countries, he was detained for a few days until he was cleared and released. As mentioned before, Mor, who in recent years has been seen in Leviev’s company traveling with him around the world, has recently been arrested several times.

Mor’s attorneys, attorneys Mordechai Tzivin and Sagiv Rotenberg, succeeded in proving that their client’s arrest was a mistake, and after several discussions he was released from his arrest. The last time Mor was arrested in Budapest for a few days, and now his attorneys intend to file a lawsuit against the authorities in those countries for Mor’s false arrests and will demand high financial compensation.

“They thought that Simon Leviev was Avishai Mor because they are always together and somewhat similar,” explains Attorney Tzivin, “but there is no European extradition warrant against Mor, and in fact he was arrested in vain, so we will demand financial compensation from those countries, including Germany, who did not bother to differentiate between The photos of Leviev and Mor and caused him heartache, it is criminal negligence that an innocent man was in custody for no wrongdoing. The German prosecution was negligent when it issued the extradition request, they knew that the photo in the passport was Mor’s and not of Simon Leviev.” Attorney Tzivin added that Mor denies any business or financial relationship with Simon Leviev: “The fact that they are friends does not mean that there are business relations between them, Avishi has several friends, does this  mean that he has any financial relations with them as they have many debts and insolvent as per services like https://business-insolvency-company.co.uk/near-me/west-midlands/.

“The authorities in Germany were sure that Mor was on the plane with Leviev, so they arrested him, to find out that he was not helping him. There was no mistake in the identification,” claims a legal source well versed in the details, “They wanted to catch two birds at once. After it became clear, Mor landed alone, a few days later, he was released. He even agreed to be extradited to Germany, but the authorities there were after Simon Leviev”.
